*Oct. 29th:
Wednesday was the day I had my meeting to videotape the CPR with a proffessional. I went to the place of meeting (which was the Red Crescent Building). I went there and met the person I called, Dr. Daoud Al-Bast. I told him what I needed to do and he made it possible for me. I videotaped one of the technicians giving a demonstration of the CPR.
The video is very good, but it's not perfect. One of the good things is that the technician is comepletely trained to do CPR, but the bad thing is how the people will understand him. The technician's language was not so good, he talks english but in an arabic/egyptian kind of accent, so I'm afraid that if I post it worldwide not everyone will understand it completely. That's why I'm going to change the plan and little, and put subtitles, for the people who won't fully understand him. But I will only put subtitles for that clip. At least that is my plan for now.
I also assigned a meeting with Mrs. Lindsay my PP advisor for the next day, thursday the 30th.

Process Journal
*Oct 10th-28th:
I did a big number of things these few days. I would like to start with saying that the plan I edited is now good, as my advisor told me. I was worried that I the subject I am going to do for my PP is still too large, although I reduced it to only 3 emegencies. While I was researching I found out that talking about theheart attack itself can fill up my whole Personal Project. So i asked my PP advisor if I can do the Personal Project only about the heart attack. Mrs. Lindsay told me she had to ask the PP coordinator. I later found out that the advisor accepted my idea, so I started work. I started gathering all the information I need, but I noticed that I need proffessional help for one thing, the CPR. I knew that if I put wrong information or ways about CPR in my video, it could risk people's lives, so I needed to record a proffessional doing CPR so that there are no mistakes. Only problem was how to reach the proffessionals. I had a link to the Red Crescent, so I called him, and he told me he would gladly help. So I assigned a Meeting for wednesday the 29th.

Process Journal
*Oct. 9th:
I met with my advisor again. I showed her my updated goal statement and my plan. She gave me feedback for the plan, so now it's much clearer to me what I have to write down for my plan. Mrs. Lindsay also told me to change my subject ( which is what to do in case of health related emergencies ) to a better subject ( which is: what to do in case of "cardiac related" emergencies ). I was sad since I already got most of the information I needed for my first subject, but yet again, the edited subject she told me will get me more grades since it is for a more specific goal and cause. I have to write my new goal statement by Oct. the 16th, relating to the new subject.

Process Journal [September 4th-October 6th ( the one that was handwritten)]
*Sept. 4th:
I attended the MYP retreat where I participated in a training workshop for Personal Project. At first I was very confused, this being my first year in an international school. I didn't understand much about the AOI and the Personal Project. Until a few friends started making it clearer for me.
*Sept. 5th-8th:
I started understanding the main things I needed for the PP. It was then that i started brainstorming for ideas i could apply for the PP.
*Sept. 9th:
I met wth Mrs. Lindsay my Personal Project advisor. We discussed my ideas. She liked the ideas and told me to check with the coordinator of the PP if it would work out. Ofcourse I was clueless of who the PP coordinator is, so I asked my friends. They took me to her the next day.
*Sept 10th:
I told the Personal Project coordinator my idea. She told me to be more specific and to have a goal. At that moment I was sad, I thought my idea was going to work and got my hopes up too high.
*Sept. 11th-13th
I chose a specific subject and a goal. I also wrote my goal statement for the PP. I was really confused when I wrote it and I had no doubt I was going to get some pretty bad feedback. But I kept in mind that feedback is not to frustrate the student, but to help him.
*Sept 14th-22nd
I researched what my options are. What the sources are going to be, who I am going to seek for interviews. How I was going to reach these sources. I was still a bit confused about everything and was trying to organize my thoughts.
*Sept. 25th:
I received the feedback for my goal statement. As I expected I had more than 3 big mistakes. I didnt get frustrated since it was the first time I write a goal statement, and I know I can make it better by using the feedback.
*Spet. 26th-Oct 6th:
I organized my ideas, fixed my goal statement and wrote my plan. I was very confused while writing my plan. I don't think it will be correct, so I'm waiting to meet with my advisor and see what she thinks. I've found my main sources and started gathering information. Pretty soon the products will be done.
